Manufacturing

Manufacturing and industrial wastewater and effluent are some of the most contentious subjects of the industrial era. Manufacturing and industrial activity is one of the biggest producers of wastewater byproducts in the world. Because of this, regulations have been set up in an effort to regulate the amount of wastewater effluence discharged into the environment.

Manufacturing wastewater and effluent is typically made up of leftover wastewater that would have been used in the production of commercial products across every industry and all phases of production. It is not just a by-product of oil, mining and chemical manufacturing companies.

Industries like the food and beverage processing industries are also responsible for large amounts of wastewater byproducts. Others include clothes, shoes and computer manufacturing.

These industries produce a combination of chemicals from the manufacturing process which includes sludge and wastewater from the clean up processes. Environmental Regulations require that manufacturers dispose of wastewater and effluence in line with stated regulations in a manner that seeks to advance environmental sustainability.

Water Treatment Solutions for Manufacturing Wastewater

INWASO GROUP provides effective and sustainable wastewater and effluence treatment solutions for the manufacturing industry that employ a range of innovative treatment strategies and technologies.

Through our treatment, we will help you to manage any organic and inorganic pollutants contained in your wastewater used in the industrial production process, helping you comply with environmental regulations.

Industries that produce lots of Wastewater and Effluence include:

 Food Processing
 Metal Finishers
 Industrial Laundries
 Clothing/Shoe Manufacturers
 Steel/Iron Production
 Chemical Manufacturing
 Power Plants
 Mining
 Oil and Gas Fracking
 Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants

Using our water treatment chemicals (coagulants and flocculants), we will remove any organic matter, metals, and similar material found in the wastewater to ensure that the water is safe and compliant for discharge back to land or other water bodies; or for reuse in plant operations.

Due to its high levels of toxicity, metal finishing wastewater require treatment in order to comply with applicable environmental regulations as these get discharged to the environment and subsequently exposed to people and/or animals.

Reverse Osmosis Using Modular Package Plants

Depending on the desired final water quality, we can take the treatment to the next level of purification using our modular package plants. Modular package plants use reverse osmosis in the treatment of water which involves applying pressure to the water as it passes through a semi permeable membrane.

The most important factor in using the reverse osmosis technology is the pretreatment that helps to protect the membrane against mineral scaling, organic fouling, and chemical degradation. The pretreatment is the treatment stage related earlier. Before reverse osmosis can happen, a complete cation/anion balance needs to be established to allow for potential foulants to be identified.

Effluent discharged to the sewer typically contains between 200 to 10,000 parts per million (ppm) total dissolved solids (TDS). With proper pretreatment followed by reverse osmosis, this water can be recycled.
